- A resident who lost his family to a Saudi airstrike in the port city of Mokha, Yemen, 24th July 2015.
The residential compound which was targeted was home to the workers of the steam power plant and their families. More than 60 people were killed, and dozens more injured. HRW (Human Rights Watch) classes this as an apparent war crime, however, Saudi Arabia is defending the attack by claiming that it was a military base used to store weapons (HRW found no evidence of this).
Saudi Arabia used the same excuse when they bombed a mineral water-bottling plant in Hajjah, killing 36 workers. Again, no evidence of weapons or military activity were found.
